Finally, Indian teams hopes of winning second test against Pakistan got a major setback when Pakistan captain Younis Khan scored unbeaten 107 in 182 balls. Due to a century from their captain and 42 runs in 110 balls by Mohammad Yousuf for the last wicket helped Pakistan in drawing second test. Today, India has some hopes of winning this game when four players of Pakistan got out for only 78 runs. However, 136 runs partnership between captain Younis Khan and Mohammad Yusuf for the fifth wicket washed the hopes of Indian team of winning this game. In bowling Anil Kumble took 2 wickets and Patel and Zaheer took one-one wicket each.
