Right decision of making Anil Kumble new Indian Test Captain

Finally, BCCI has taken a right and wise decision of making veteran and experienced Indian spin bowler Anil Kumble captain of Indian cricket test team. He is the 30th captain of Indian test team after Rahul Dravid. Earlier, there were rumours about the two names of Sachin Tendulkar and current ODI captain M S Dhoni for the test captain post. However, nobody has slightest guess about Anil Kumble being chosen as the new captain of Indian test team.

Presently, Anil Kumble is only playing test matches and he has taken retirement from the one day cricket after the 2007 world cup. Anil Kumble has achieved a big name for himself in cricket with his strong bowling and impressive batting performance. His bowling performance is exceptional as currently he is the highest wicket taker for India in both ODI and test with 337 and 566 wickets respectively. His achievements also include 10 wickets in a single match which only two bowlers are able to achieve so far.

Anil Kumble has helped India in winning number of test matches with his great performance; therefore decision of making him the test team captain is one of the best decisions taken by BCCI. Anil Kumble has lot of experience in test matches and therefore, we can hope for Indian team getting help from his experience. Moreover with this decision BCCI has also shown a confidence on the abilities of one of their finest Indian player. This decision is also unique as it will save India from the possible ego clash between different captains, as Anil Kumble will only play in test matches.
