Consequences and meaning of Egypt unrest

Presently, one of populous Arabic nation Egypt is undergoing through great protests and unrest and these protests are carried out by common people of Egypt. It is common to see millions of people on roads of all cities of Egypt protesting against President Hosni Mubarak. So far, hundreds of people have died in these protests and thousands are wounded due to police-ordinary people clashes. Condition of President Hosni Mubarak is so bad that he has placed tanks on road to stop ordinary people from protesting.

President Mubarak has done all efforts available in his hands to pacify anger of people like he dissolved earlier government and appointed new prime minister. However, people of Egypt are adamant on his total removal from power. 82 year old, Hosni Mubarak is continuously governing country from more than 30 years. Many common Egyptian believe that Egypt has lost his pride and shine during his regime. Unemployment, underdevelopment, widespread corruption and nearness to US are other reasons which are forcing people to take this tough stand. These protests in Egypt started after Tunisia protest where people forced corrupt president out of country.

It is very difficult to predict exact outcome of these protests; however, it is clear that common people of world revolutionised by social media networking and information want corrupt and inefficient rulers to go away. If Egypt protests become successful like Tunisia protests then we can see similar protests in many parts of world where common people are saying “enough is enough”. Whole of world is watching these protests very closing and many fearful countries like China have blocked news and social networking sites in their country. Present Egypt unrest will have great effect on shape of future world.

Egypt unrest and unrest in other Arab nations can increase prices to oil to new heights; thus putting whole world again in to recession. It is important for President Hosni Mubarak to settle this fight with people by stepping down and creating a temporary government till new elections take place in Egypt. Any forceful action on people of Egypt will only intensify this fight further. It is important for world authorities to support struggle of people of Egypt and ask Hosni Mubarak to leave his post. Egypt unrest is also warning for all corrupt rulers of world to step down or start developing their nations.
