Preparations on last phase for Maha Kumbh Mela in Haridwar

Haridwar is going to witness biggest religious Mela of decade “Maha Kumbh”. As per government estimates more than 10 million people from across India are expected to attend this Maha Kumbh Mela. It is believed as per Hindu mythology that bath at Maha Kumbh grant many rewards to any person; therefore, millions of devotes from across India attend Maha Kumbh. Maha Kumbh will start from 14 jan, 2010 on Makarsankranti Day and ends on 14 April, 2010 on Baisakhi Day. This three month long festival cum mela will see great rush of people and saints reaching in Hardiwar to get desired wishes from Maa Ganga. Please note- People who want to take bath at Har Ki Pauri need government issued photo id card; therefore, do not forget to take your photo id card with you while going for bath.
