List of top 10 Bollywood/Hindi films of 2009

Year 2009 was mixed year for Bollywood industry where many big budgeted and hyped films flopped on box office, on the other hand some small budgeted unexpected films did well at box office. Below, I have made a list of top 10 films of Bollywood which performed well at box office plus they also entertained people. At the end of year, we saw release of Amir Khan’s film “3 Idiots” which broke all box office records and become biggest Bollywood hit ever. Year 2009 also brought with it lot of good news for Salman Khan who gave hit film in the form of “Wanted” after quite long time.

1) 3 Idiots – Amir Khan starrer film 3 idiots broke all records of film industry in just one week by making more than 100 crore rupees in first week only.
2) Wanted- Wanted was unexpected hit from Salaman Khan and this film showed to Bollywood power of Salman Khan and his fans.
3) Kaminey – With Kaminey, Shahid Kapoor showed his presence at Box office and showed to world that he is next super star.
4) Love Aaj Kal – Love Aaj Kal movie highlighted romantic mix of modern and earlier times and people liked this concept.
5) Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani – Ranbir Kapoor presented himself as only lover boy of Bollywood through this film.
6) New York – This film highlighted problems faced by Muslim youth in USA which most of people liked.
7) Dev D – Dev D was totally different kind of film and showed some serious acting and story to us. Abhay Deol emerged new Deol power in Bollywood with this film.
8) Kambakkht Ishq – This film saved Askhay Kumar to some extent by giving him only hit film of 2009.
9) Wake Up Sid – Wake up Sid was unexpected hit film of 2009 which showed simple but great performances from Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen.
10) All The Best – This film entertained people with comedy.

There are also few other hit films in 2009; however, according to me these films deserves to be in Top 10.
