Akhil Kumar lost quarter final 10-3 to Veaceslav Gojan (Live)

Today, Indian hopes of getting another gold medal in Boxing in Beijing Olympics came to an end when today; Akhil Kumar lost his quarter final match to Veaceslav Gojan of Rep. of Moldova. Up to first two rounds match was looking in control of Akhil because both boxers scored one-one points in first and second round. However, last two rounds only remained one sided affair where Veaceslav scored 4-4 points in third and fourth rounds against only 1 point scored by Akhil in fourth round. Akhil gave medal hopes to people back in India when he won his pre-quarter final match against world champion Sergey. Now, only hopes of medal in boxing have remained on other two boxers who will fight their matches on Wednesday.
