After the last month entry of PVR cinemas in the city, now it is the turn of Wave cinemas to register their presence in the city. This last Friday 31th August, Wave Cinemas started functioning on the fourth floor of The WestEnd Mall, Ferozpur Road, Ludhiana. This is the first entry of Wave cinemas in Punjab. There are four screens in this venture which makes it possible to watch number of movies simultaneously.
Few of the highlights of Wave cinemas over other are-
1) Carpets used in these halls are from Brintons Carpets, UK.
2) All theatres have highest quality Dolby sound systems.
3) Seating arrangements are from Figueras International, Spain.
4) Projection system is from Kinoton GmbH, Germany.
5) Speakers used in these theatres are of Martin Audio Ltd, UK.
These are few features which makes movies viewing experience at Waves Cinemas more exciting. Now people of Ludhiana have two options available with them for watching their favourite movies.
Drawbacks-
1) Only two ticket windows working which can cause difficulty in getting tickets in the rush hours.
2) Poor service on the refreshment stalls can cause up to hour for getting a single burger.
3) Entrances of hall 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 are very adjacent which creates the chance of entering in to wrong hall.

Why English movies audience is angry with PVR and Waves?
I'm so pissed offffffffff !!! City multiplexes aren't playing an English movie for consecutive 2nd week......I hate being in Ludhiana. Dudes, you gonna wanna shit movies like RGV's Aag, Victoria, and ridiculous shit like Nanhe Jaisalmer, also that Mitti Vaajan Maardi (crazy harbhajan mann is selling the same idea in a new packaging every time) but u can't watch a worthwhile Hollywood movie cause it's in English. 4 New Hollywood Flicks have released worldwide (Death of a President, Lucky You, Curse of the Golden flower and Blind Dating but we wont be able to watch any.....It's a pind (village) i'm living in, Ludhiana sucks, big time!!!
ReplyDeleteboth PVR and WAVEs almost play the same movies everytime, the same movies which are playing in Wave are playing in PVR also.
whose copying the other? what's the use of having so many multiplexes when u gotta watch the same movies everywhere....why don't they play hollywood movies in Ludhiana? they are far better than those disgusting bollywood flicks.
