Today, corruption has become integral part of our life in India. Many politicians and bureaucrats think that it is their right to make money by corrupt means. After Independence, these corrupt people have stolen money allotted for the development of common people of India. If today, we are still a developing country then these corrupt people are main reason behind present condition. The main reason of wide spread corruption is no check on big politicians and bureaucrats.
Mostly, these politicians and bureaucrats control big investigating agencies; therefore, we hardly see any punishment being given for crimes done by them. Therefore, politicians and bureaucrats feel very confident in doing corruption because they know that they will never be caught for such crimes. Presently, social activist Anna Hazare is on Hunger strike over Lokpal bill because he wants people’s Lokpal bill with much bigger powers than present proposed Lokpal bill. However, corrupt leaders and bureaucrats know that it will become very hard for them to do corruption once this bill become a reality; therefore, they are not agreeing to Anna Hazare demands.
I fully support Anna Hazre’s hunger strike because he is doing great job and success of his action will bring more transparency in Indian system. If people’s Lokpal bill with wider powers become a reality then it will become hard for anyone to do corruption in India. It is duty of every honest Indian to support cause and good work of Anna Hazare.
