Fight against Molestation

India started year 2008, with a fight against the molestation. On the second day of New Year, Indian TV channels were full of news related to molestation and total four molestation cases were reported from different parts of India. However, major focus remained on the molestation episode occurred in Mumbai where mob of around 60 people attacked two women of a NRI family and molested them. Some people grabbed these women and some torn their clothes, however, nobody came forward for their rescue. Mob also attacked and beat two men accompanying these women. Thankfully, this whole episode was captured on camera by two Hindustan Times, reporters. Mumbai police initially failed in registering complain of this family.

However, Indian media highlighted this issue and forced Mumbai police and government to take strong action against these culprits. So far, police has arrested 14 people and also searching for more people. This is a rare incidence when molestation victim will see some justice because mostly molesting women is not seen as crime by many men in India and 99% of molestation cases in India go unreported. Crime against women is not a new thing in India as in every 32 second one woman is raped, in every 25 second one woman is killed (including female foeticide) and in every 18 second one woman is molested in India.

This is for the first time and thanks to Indian media that a good lesson will be taught to these kinds of people. Molestation is one such crime against women in India which despite so many hue and cries does not get any serious punishment. In most of the cases, women do not register complain due to social shame attached and this thing further increase the confidence of such people. Second in many parts of India, police also do not take molestation cases seriously. Molestation is a big shame on the Indian society and we require more strong actions from people, media and police for providing a free and secure environment to women and girls of India.

Punjab Assembly Election 2022 (Toughest Elections Ever)

On 20th Feb 2022, all people of Punjab will vote for new government because the tenure of present government is going to end soon. The total assembly seats in Punjab is 117 and any political party or alliance needs 58 seats to form the next government in Punjab. Mostly, the state of Punjab has remained a fight between two political parties or groups. For the last few years, the fight in Punjab has remained between Congress and Akali Dal-BJP alliance. However, this time due to farmer agitation, Akali Dal has pulled out from the 25 years old with BJP. This alliance saw many many big victories and they ruled Punjab multiple times. This time, Akali Dal has moved to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) to compensate for the vote loss while BJP has gone to the alliance with Amrinder Singh's People Lok Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt).  Aam Admi Party was the new entry into Punjab in 2017 that become the second largest political party after Congress in Punjab. How it is to be free like a bird?

When ever I saw birds in the sky, I always wander why we are not free like them. We are most advances species on the earth but when comes to the freedom point we have least. Our most of the life is determined by others, directly or indirectly. A bird does not need anyone’s permission before flying. He has no direction to chose. His only aim is the search of food. He doesn’t have very big dreams. Bird’s lives life in today. Unlike them we are more burdened by the outcomes of tomorrow and in this way we spoil our present also. People go on doing hard work for securing their future. However some of them are never able to see this future. In childhood we work as par our parents and try to fulfill their dreams. In adulthood we are burdened by the family and children. On the reverse birds allows their children to be self sufficient and free them to choose their own directions. The bird’s does not have to choose any religion to follow and they are not guided by any god. They live truly in nat
