Fight against Molestation

India started year 2008, with a fight against the molestation. On the second day of New Year, Indian TV channels were full of news related to molestation and total four molestation cases were reported from different parts of India. However, major focus remained on the molestation episode occurred in Mumbai where mob of around 60 people attacked two women of a NRI family and molested them. Some people grabbed these women and some torn their clothes, however, nobody came forward for their rescue. Mob also attacked and beat two men accompanying these women. Thankfully, this whole episode was captured on camera by two Hindustan Times, reporters. Mumbai police initially failed in registering complain of this family.

However, Indian media highlighted this issue and forced Mumbai police and government to take strong action against these culprits. So far, police has arrested 14 people and also searching for more people. This is a rare incidence when molestation victim will see some justice because mostly molesting women is not seen as crime by many men in India and 99% of molestation cases in India go unreported. Crime against women is not a new thing in India as in every 32 second one woman is raped, in every 25 second one woman is killed (including female foeticide) and in every 18 second one woman is molested in India.

This is for the first time and thanks to Indian media that a good lesson will be taught to these kinds of people. Molestation is one such crime against women in India which despite so many hue and cries does not get any serious punishment. In most of the cases, women do not register complain due to social shame attached and this thing further increase the confidence of such people. Second in many parts of India, police also do not take molestation cases seriously. Molestation is a big shame on the Indian society and we require more strong actions from people, media and police for providing a free and secure environment to women and girls of India.

Money or no money in blogging

When I started blogging then there was very little awareness about blogging in India. It was quite hard then to make people understand what blogging is all about. Slowly, more and more numbers of people become aware of this medium of writing and they started using it. The main awareness about blogging came when people realized that they can also make money with blogging. In the initial phase, people made a good amount of money with the help of blogs they have but as the news of making money with blogs spread wider, we saw large numbers of people jumping into blogging arena to make money and show their skills. All this caused a huge rush of bloggers and everyone started turning into a blogger. Due to this huge rush, the competition in the blogging segment increased many times and the earning of the most of bloggers decreased significantly.

The time was so bad that it became even harder for the experienced bloggers to make a significant earning from their blogs. Soon the charm of earni…

Is it right to use Movies to score Politics? #AccidentalPrimeMinister

India is a country of controversies and we keep on seeing newer and newer controversies emerging daily. Some controversies die fast while others continue for years. The recent controversy is about the Anupam Kher's latest movie "Accidental Prime Minister" in which he is playing the role of formal Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh.

This controversy emerged with the release of the trailer of movie Accidental Prime Minister. The Congress party blames that this movie is made to spoil the image of Gandhi family while Anupam Kher claims that his movie is based on the book written by Baru Sanjaya whose role is played by Akshay Khanna in the movie.

Mostly in India, we see politics on the single line that "I am right and you are wrong". The focus of all political parties is more on proving others wrong than proving themselves right. They want your votes not because they are right but because others are wrong. In such kind of politics, we hardly see right things pro…

A new 15 year old Buddha

In Nepal a new Buddha is in making. Recently a person called Ram Bomjon from Nepal has been fasting and meditating for last six months beneath a tree. In him people are seeing a new Buddha. This incidence has happened in Bara district of Nepal. Thousands of pilgrims have starting visiting this place. There is news that Ram has not even single time broken his fast. For the last six months he has not moved, even to relieve himself. His place is not much away from the place where original Buddha had done his meditation. According to Ram he does this meditation because a snake has beaten him. He is also asking people for not saying him Buddha because he is telling that he is not having the powers like Buddha.
