I never in my life heard more brutal news than this news of the murder of a seven-year-old student of Ryan International, Gurgaon. The name of this unlucky child was Pradyuman Thakur. He was brutally murdered inside the school bathroom by cutting his neck. The pictures of this scene were so disturbing that they shattered me from inside. I don't know that in which direction our education system is going. On the one side, such private school makes very tall claims for providing world class education and on the other hand, they fail to provide a secure atmosphere to the students. As per the media reports, the conductor of a school's bus has admitted that he was behind this crime. He said that his intentions were to sexually exploit the child but when the boy started shouting, then he killed the boy. However, there look to be some loopholes in his story so it becomes very important to thoroughly investigate this case. In this case, the negligence by the school is clearly visible. As per the reports, the CCTVs in the school were not functional. Moreover, how a bus conductor can reach the bathroom of school children.
Schools like Ryan International charge very high amount of fees; however, the security level in these schools in very poor. This is the second incidence in Ryan International Schools and last year, a six-year boy drowned in the water tank of Vasant Kunj, Ryan School. Such incidences are very bad and it becomes the duty of school administration to stop such incidences from occurring. The cold hearted murder of a seven-year-old kid is one case which can't get any mercy.
I hope that police will be investigating this case properly so that real culprits can be punished.
