People of Chhattisgarh will vote in two phases on 14th Nov and 20th Nov for electing new state government. Chhattisgarh is a new state as compared to other states in India. These are second assembly elections in Chhattisgarh. There are total 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh and for making government in state any party is required to win 46 seats. Last assembly elections in 2003 were won by BJP by winning 50 assembly seats whereas congress won 37 seats and 3 seats won by others.

Both BJP and Congress are confident about their win in assembly election, though only one of them will win. Some opinion polls conducted by various news agencies are also available in front of us which are indicated comfortable win for BJP in state again. According to reports, BJP is likely to increase her seats by winning 52-57 seats while Congress is likely to win between 30-34 seats and while 2-4 seats can go to others.

If BJP wins in Chhattisgarh then main credit will be popular CM image of Dr Raman Singh and people oriented schemes like 3 rupees KG rice to poor people.
