This time Aziz Mirza is telling us about Kismat and its connection with our lives. Film “Kismat Konnection” is totally based on this concept of importance of Kismat (fate) in life; however, the big problem with film is that film looks overplaying card of Kismat everywhere. Moreover, sometimes it looks that Aziz is forcing Kismat on story of film which already lack any solid ground. Now will this film make kismat of Aziz, Shahid and Vidya then answer is yes to some extent because this film has some potential and can be rated as average entertainer. However, due to lack of new concepts and easily predictable story line, film lacks any big punch. Story wise Kismat Konnection only gets 1.5 out of 5 scores.
Kismat Konnection is one of most hyped films in recent times and people have lot of expectations from this film, therefore, this film opened very well in most of theatres in India. This film looks to have strong appeal on young generation; therefore, most of audience watching film was made of young faces. All these responses for film were anticipated because when big directors like Aziz make films then people have lot of expectations from them. Acting wise both Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan are good and their performances suits well their roles, however, poor story line and overdose of kismat decrease their scope of good performance considerably. First half of film looks very promising; however, film goes on losing track and energy in second half. Second half of film looks to be made in some hurry and need some good editing and direction.
Climax of film is also not up to mark and looks more forced on us. Therefore, good acting of Shahid and Vidya also fail in providing a better end to this film. Music of film is good and provides good entertainment during the film. Supporting cast of film has very good role in making this film a good entertainer and we can enjoy good comedy scenes due to superb performances by Om Puri, Juhi Chawla, Vishal Malhotra and many other. At the end, we can say Aziz has left lot on Kismat while making this film, though; he may have worked more intelligently on this film and provided a better film. Overall, we can rate this film between 2 to 2.5 out of 5 as per personal taste.
