Why 300% fee hike by IIM is a crime?

Sometimes, it really becomes difficult to believe that India still have huge population of poor and middle class people, who have hardly seen any improvement in their life conditions. Large Indian population has clearly got benefited from privatisation and IT drive which has helped many people in earning good amount of money. However, still our 50% of population is at same cross road, earning same amount of money whereas cost of living has increased many times.

Prices of most of the eatable items are already on higher side, creating maximum burden on the people of India and due to this it has become almost impossible for people earning below Rs 5000 to manage their homes expenditures. Second shock, people are suffering from increasing cost of education in India which is becoming more and more expensive day by day. India was once known for its cheap education and many students from under developing countries like African nations enrol themselves in various Indian universities to get quality education at cheaper cost.

However, recently a new trend has started in India of making money by selling education and now top institutes like IIM Ahmadabad are also becoming part of this mad race. Few days back, IIMA top business school in India increased it’s annually fee by 300%. Soon IIM Bangalore also followed this trend and in future, we can hope similar response from many other IIMs and various universities in India. If all this is allowed to happen then time is not away when getting higher education will become a distinct dream in India like in US.

Great Indian tradition never allows education to be equated with money and most of the great leaders of India has stressed upon providing free or cheap education to people of India. I completed my education in government school for less than Rs 300 per year and my college education for Rs 1500 per year. However, at present this yearly fee is not even enough for monthly fees at many schools and colleges across India.

Institutes like IIM get huge amount of grants and subsides from state and national government, now if they are increasing fee in this manner then what we can expect from other private colleges. Today, India desperately need educated youth for maintaining a top position in world, however, by making education beyond the reach of common people, we are only create dark future for millions of youth and India.

Book review- "Wings of Fire"

“Wings of Fire” is an autobiography of former President of India and an eminent scientist Shri A P J Abdul Kalam. It is very important for every Indian and especially for youth to read this autobiography. It is not because he is a former president and an eminent scientist, therefore every Indian should read it, however this autobiography really has good knowledge to share with us, a knowledge which is very difficult to get elsewhere. This autobiography is different in many ways as it tells us many lessons with true examples. This book tells us the story of a Muslim boy, who became the President of a Hindu dominated country by hard world and dedication. It gives us an inside look into the lives of Muslims in India and relationships between Hindu and Muslim communities in India. It tells us, how common Hindu and Muslim respect each other’s religion. “Wings of Fire” is the story of a small boy achieving his dreams despite all the odds. This real story tells us the role of family, re

Review- Bhool bhulaiya ( A good movie to watch)

From the last few of my reviews, I am saying that Indian cinema is slowly reaching towards its maturity. Bhool Bhulaiya is again one more film which further supports this fact. Bhool Bhulaiya is good watch for Indian movie viewer because it offers a good entertainment package. Ashkay Kumar has again proved with this movie that he is the undisputed king of laughter and he has well justified his role in this movie despite his entry in the movie just before the intermission. This film is a remake of Malaylam super hit movie Manichitrathazhu, which also have other remakes in Kannada (Aaptamitra) and Chandramukhi in Tamil and Telugu starring Rajnikanth (both were hit). However, Manichitrathazhu (1993) original version of film is believed to be the best in the category and its leading actor Shobhana also got national award for this movie. Now about Bhool Bhulaiya, then it is also a good watch, though not equivalent to Manichitrathazhu. This film can perform well in Hindi speaking belt bec
