Failures and Successes of Pathankot Terrorist Attack

India saw the start of 2016 with Terrorists attack on the Pathankot Air Force station. Whole nation got surprised with news because how terrorists can reach such a sensitive place with such a high level security. First off it appears that there were many inputs available with the security agencies that some terrorists are trying to sneak into India and attack the airbase. However, still the security of the airbase was not strong enough to stop the entry of these terrorists.

Moreover, police and security agencies failed to take timely actions on the information given by the abducted Gurdaspur SP that few militants have entered India and they are planning the attack the airbase. The sad part is that there was enough time available with the Indian security agencies arrest these terrorists before entering the airbase. Another failure was with the BSF which failed to stop entry of these terrorists into Indian border.

The Indian border with Pakistan is guarded by thousands of BSF personells day and night. There are high wire fences along the border with high tension current flowing through them, then how so easily these terrorists entered India. These failures are the main reason behind all the embarrassment caused to India.

While there were few successes too in this episode. First success is that the Indian armed, stopped these terrorists on the outer part of the airbase. Moreover, Indian armed forces succeed in saving all the vital instruments and aircrafts. If terrorist would have succeeded in causing more damage to the airbase, then it must have caused lots of embarrassment to India.

This incident and earlier incidence of Gurdaspur clearly shows that we need to increase security at the border and within the intelligence agencies, otherwise, we can face attacks from the terrorists.

With this change, we can see the saving of time of commuters and saving of valuable fuel. As per the Indian transport minister, with the use of fastag on vehicles, we can hope to see a saving of Rs 20,000 crore. I hope that it will improve the management of vehicles on the various toll plazas. I have many bad experiences on various toll plazas due to manual operation and high rush.  Already, toll collectors and people are finding this scheme of fastag very helpful. I have already installed fastag on my both vehicles two years back. So far, Paytm fastag is the most used fastag in India because it is linked to the Paytm wallet which makes it easy to add cash and make payments. I am also using Paytm Fastag on one of my main vehicles and my experience is very smooth with it. It is very easy to buy Paytm Fasta
