Danny Boyle’s latest film “Slumdog Millionaire” has shown another dark face of India to world on which any Indian will not feel proud. Though, in recent times standards of living for common people in India has seen significant improvement, however, still our 15-20% population is living under same ugly conditions as they were living 50 years back. India has seen an unparallel growth throughout the country where some places and states have grown tremendously as compared to other places and states.
Why we should we go any far, we can give the example of Dharavi slum in Mumbai where story of Slumdog Millionaire mostly revolves. Dharavi is biggest slum area of world situated in the heart of Mumbai, definitely not a thing to be proud of, however, this is big reality of present India. We may become super power of world; however, these truths will always remain with us. Through, this movie Danny Boyle has tried his best to put forward best of worst in Dharavi. Slumdog Millionaire has already become a big hit and acclaimed worldwide praise and awards (including four Golden Globe awards).
Danny has made this film in a great thought provoking way which will definitely make billions of people around the world to think about poor living conditions of people and how these conditions affect their whole life. In future, if we all Indian really want to feel proud about our country and our people then we are required to do something about these people by providing them with right opportunities to live and prosper.
In last one and half year, Google has punished many blogs around the world, which were involved in making money with their blogs, by removing their page ranks. When I was young, I always used to ask myself that why some people remain so mad about Stock Market and what actually is a Stock Market? The most basic work of any stock market is to facilitate trading in various company stocks and derivatives.
Stock Market provides an easy option in front of companies to borrow money from people and financial institutions by offering company stocks in return to them. Any Stock is listed on Stock Market at particular face value plus premium value which is determined by various agencies affiliated with Stock Market. For example if a stock has face value of Rs 10 and premium value of Rs 100 then this stock will be listed at Rs 110 on stock market and will be available to people at this price.
Face value is termed as actual value of stock (which never changes) while premium value is risk or time or extrinsic value which is paid to seller for reducing the risks of selling stocks to buyers (changes with demand). After listing on Stock Market, any stock becomes available for trading on open stock market. Now stock becomes totally dependable on market reactions and demands. Stock moves up in the Stock chart and value if there are more buyers for it at higher value, however, stock moves down if there are more sellers for stock at lower value. Investors reward good performing company stocks by buying them abd thus increasing their value, while investors punish bad performing company stocks by selling them and thus decreasing their value.
However, there are many exceptions in Stock Markets where many Stocks increase on speculation and despite bad performance by companies. It looks that Manyata Dutt is ready for her new role as MP from Lucknow. Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amir Singh has made it clear that Manyata Dutt will fight Loksabha election from Lucknow seat on Samajwadi party ticket if Sanjay Dutt fails in getting permission from court for fighting Loksabha election from Lucknow. Earlier, Amir Singh announced that Sanajay Dutt will be fighting Loksabha election from Lucknow seat on SP ticket.
However, we all know that Sanjay Dutt is convicted by Tada court, therefore, Sanjay Dutt require permission of court before fighting any election. Therefore, Now Samajwadi Party has come with idea of placing his wife Manyata from Lucknow If Sanjay dutt fails in getting permission from court. With this one thing is clear that either Sanjay or Manyata will fight from Lucknow Loksabha seat. Presently, this seat belongs to former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpaee.
Samajwadi party knows that they require a very strong candidate for winning this seat. There are good chances that Atal Bihari Vajpaee will not contest Loksabha election this time due to his deteriorating heath. This SP announcement has also shocked Congress party because Dutt family has strong relations with Congress party. There is also news that Sanjay Dutt first approached Congress party for fighting election which refused his proposal because of his conviction. It is also believed Manyata is mainly behind this decision of Sanjay Dutt to fight Loksabha election.

Slowly, 2009 Loksabha (Parliament) elections in India are coming very near. Most probably these elections will take place in April/May 2009. After these elections new government will take control of India. Presently, there are three main contenders for this position UPA (present government include parties like Congress, RJD, DMK etc), NDA (main opposition party include BJP, JD(U), BJD, Shiv Sena etc) and third front (which include parties like Communist parties, TDP etc). However, we can expect main fight between UPA and NDA.
Presently, there are two big parties in India BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) and Congress; however, due to emergence of many regional parties in India these parties cannot get power on their own. Therefore, support of these small parties become very crucial in these election. Small Parties like Communist parties, BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party), TDP (Telugu Desam Party), TC (Trinamool Congress), AIDMK are expected to play major role in formation of next government. Present, news is not good for UPA and Congress because there are good chances that UPA may fail in getting 200 seats in total out of total 543 seats whereas situation is also same for NDA which is expected to get 190-210 seats.
UPA (without SP) is expected to get 195-215 seats. SP (Samajwadi Party) is expected to get 25-35 seats in UP, thus it will not be possible for UPA to make new government with the help of SP next time and it will require support of other parties like Communist parties (which are expected to get 35-45 seats) or BSP (which is expected to get 30-35 seats). Whereas BJP can goes to its old allies TDP, AIDMK and TC who are expected to win 42-52 seats in next Loksabha election.
Therefore, we can see that next Loksabha can be hung if results came in this fashion. NDA is expected to do slightly better than UPA, however, it will not be enough to give them power. Overall, it is very difficult to predict Indian voter and we can expect many surprises from Indian voters in near future.

In last two and half month, Indian politics have seen many ups and downs. Both UPA and NDA are losing their old allies on the cost of few new allies. BJP got major jolt in Orissa when BJD decided to go alone in this election, thus leaving behind 11 year old alliance of BJP-BJD in Orissa.
Congress also got similar jolt from RJD, LJP and MDMK. BJP gained new allies in the form of Ajit Singh in UP and AJP in Assam. Similarly, Congress succeeded in making alliance with Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. At the same time, we also saw third front taking shape and increase in strength of regional parties. Therefore, present predictions are going to show different results as compared to last predictions. The main picture which is becoming clear in front of us is that big national parties are becoming totally dependent on small regional parties. It is now very-2 unlikely that any of two big national parties of India BJP and Congress will reach anywhere near 272 mark to form government at centre on their own. It is also clear that these parties will even fall in getting more than 200 seats on their own. Therefore, this time we can see even more complex arithmetic to form government at centre.
This time Loksabha will definitely be a hung Loksabha with multiple options open for different party. Today, UPA has become very weak after the exit of RJD, SP and LJP from UPA. Presently, these three regional parties RJD, SP and LJP have created their own alliance in UP and Bihar. This RJD, SP and LJP alliance is likely to get 40-60 seats; therefore, it will become very difficult for UPA to make any government without their support. Congress is likely to emerge as biggest political party in this election by winning 145-165 seats. Present, UPA is likely to get 190-210 seats.
Therefore, only hope present in front of Congress lead UPA is to get support of RJD-SP-LJP combine to make next government. On the other hand, BJP is likely to get 135-155 seats, thus making it second largest party after Congress, though, difference is likely to remain small between the seats of Congress and BJP. NDA as whole is likely to get 180-200 seats. After election, NDA can look towards AIADMK, TDP, BJD and BSP for support because they are likely to get 50-80 seats. Similar situation is also present in front of third front which is likely to get 90-120 seats; however, problem of unity among members of third front can cause some of third front partner supporting either UPA or NDA.
Chances of third front making government with the support of UPA or NDA are very-2 remote. At the end, we can say that present fight has become very interesting and slight up or down in vote share can make or break chances of any particular alliance. Both UPA and NDA looks to have good chances for making a government at centre with slight marginal edge for UPA. Regional parties will definitely decide the fate of next government at centre with three women politicians Jayalalitha, Mamta Banerji and Mayawati playing crucial role in the formation of next government.
Update 12 April, 2009- BJP first time looks to be gaining slightly and there are good chances that BJP will emerge as biggest political party after Loksabha Election. On the other hand, Congress looks to be slightly losing its ground and Congress may fail in getting more than 150 seats this time.
