Have you imagined, how the moon will look with 83X Zoom through a Digital Camera?

Today, we live in a world where digital technology is making a great progress. With ordinary digital cameras, it is impossible to go very close to the moon. But with Nikon P900 digital camera with 83X zoom, you can go very near to the moon. You can see the video below to witness this journey close to the moon. I have also tried to capture pictures of moon by telephoto lens and digital DSLR camera; however, I was not able to go so close. The other issue is a constant rotation of the moon, which makes it difficult to focus at a single point. This is an amazing video which shows the increasing power of digital technology and how it is increasing the reach of humans. Soon many ordinary human beings will have such advanced capabiliites .

Do You Know- The US prison industry is one of the most profitable industries in the US?

Yesterday, while watching a show on the national geographic channel, I came to know that the US prison industry is among the top most profitable industries in the US. There are more than 2 million prisoners in US jails, which is the highest number in the world much higher than China, the most populous country of the world. America has only 5% world population and it accounts for the nearly 25% prisoners in the world. As per the estimates, this industry is likely to grow in the future by making a billions of dollars of profit. Therefore, there are many investors who want to invest in the US prison industry. In just ten years of time, the number of private prisons in US has increased from 5 to 100 which shows the growth in this sector. These prisons make profits by forcing inmates to work at a fraction of the cost for the industries working in the jail premises. These prisoners make many items from army helmets, number plates, paint brushes, home appliances, speakers, furniture and

Battle of Bihar Assembly Election 2015 (Who will Win in Bihar?) (What Exit polls and opinion Polls Saying?)

At present the biggest election battle which the whole nation waiting is Bihar Assembly Election 2015. BJP wants to take away the Bihar CM position from Nitish Kumar who was once a BJP allay. In politics, anything can change anytime, Bihar Assembly election 2015 provides a great example of it. BJP and JDU fought Bihar 2010 Assembly election together and won it with a landslide victory. However, this alliance lasted for 2 years only over the protest of Nitish Kumar for making Narendra Modi, BJP's prime ministerial candidate. At present, Nitish Kumar is running his government with the support of RJD, once an arch rival party after Jitendra ram manjhi floated a new party. In the Bihar Assembly election 2015, we will see a tough battle between two political alliances of Congress-JDU-RJD and BJP-LJP-RLSP-HAM (Hindustan Awam Morcha). There is a total of 243 Assembly seats in Bihar and any alliance or party needs to win at least 122 seats to make next government.  In the 2015 Bihar

Indian Railway - How Safe is it?

Today, morning started with the shocking news of a major railway accident in Madhya Pradesh near Harda town in which more than two dozen passengers died and hundreds of them got wounded.  The two trains which become a victim of this incident are Kamayani Express and Janta Express. As per the news, this accident may have happened due to flash floods which took away the land below the rail tracks, thus causing both trains on different tracks to derail at the same location. Whatever may be the reason, the reality is that a few more people lost their lives in a railway accident. Government of India is saying that this accident is a result of natural disaster and therefore, nothing can't be done. As per the Railway board Chairman, two other trains passed safely this route just ten before the incident. In the rainy season, it is common to see rail tracks getting damaged because of Rain; therefore, it was the duty of Indian railway to ensure extra safety on the routes where flash f

Has Baba Ramdev bought Chinese Apple Juice? What about Swadeshi or Make in India?

Today, one news in the Hindustan Times shocked me that Baba Ramdev has discontinued buying Apple Concentrate from HPMC and started buying it from China. A great shock for me because I never expected this from a person like Baba Ramdev who advocates Swadeshi over foreign products. As per the news, Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurveda dumped HPMC, a Himachal government subsidiary, to Chinese vendor over the price issue. It looks that profitability has taken priority at Petangali Yogpeth and they are dumping Indian manufacturers who are unable to offer prices equivalent to Chinese manufacturers. Some newspapers, even termed it as Hypocrisy? The cost issue was not very big as HPMC asked to increase the cost of Apple juice 1 Kg concentrate from Rs 72 to Rs 100 and from 1 Kg of juice concentrate we can make more than 1000 liters of juice. Patanjali sells 1 Kg Apple Juice for Rs 85, therefore, it was not a big hike in price of Apple concentrate asked by HPMC, then why Baba Ramdev dumped

Does Government of India has failed to handle the matter of FTII well?

For the last few weeks, I am constantly coming across news related to indefinite strike of students of FTII against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman of the institute. This strike started on June 12 this year and now it has reached Jantar Mantar New Delhi. The biggest worrying sign here is that even after 50 days of the start of strike government of India has failed to solve the matter. At present, it looks that this matter has become the egoist fight between the government oof India and Students. Where is the Controversy -  The main controversy lies in the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan (a Mahabharat fame actor) to the highest post in a prestigious institute of film and acting. There are main two things which are going against Gajendra Chauhan, first he doesn't have a wider experience of film and TV, second he is close to the RSS. Students claims that the appoint of Gajendra is a try by Government of India to dismantle the autonomous structure of FTII
