Sad Part of Busy City Life

When you start living a busy city life, then you soon come to know about many of its disadvantages. I recently shifted to an apartment bulding with many facilities; however, still I miss many things like the beautiful song of the Common Tailorbird and Cinarous Tit in the morning. Except Pigeon and Common Myna, no other bird visits my apartment which is very different from my earlier home where it was very common to meet new birds daily. The other sad point is lack of connection between the people living next door. Here people hardly interact with each other and thus, we don't know our neighbors. The other big difficulty is crossing roads full of vehicles and long wait at the red lights. I just hear a shocking news on many news channels that former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam Dies at 84. He was one of the most popular Indian Presidents and till his death, he was inspiring Indian youth to achieve new heights in life. He was in Shillong to give a lecture to the students of IIM. He was also known as the missile-man because of his extraordinary work for Indian missile system.

Has Terrorism been Back in Punjab (India)?

From the last few days, I am asking this question to myself that has terrorism is trying to come back in Punjab because of many incidents which points towards the revival of bloody terrorism. Today's attack by a few terrorists in the Denanagar Town (District Gurdaspur) of Punjab has showed that this threat is real. The three terrorists came in army uniform in the morning and attacked many areas of Denanagar (Gurdaspur). They attacked the Dena Nagar Bus stand, a nearby hospital, Police station and Police quarters. In this incident 7 civilians, 5 policemen and 3 militants died. Punjab Police's two senior police officers died in this incident, their names are IG (Counter Intelligence) Gaurav Yadav and SP Baljit Singh. It took 12 hours for the security personnel to neutralize these militants, which shows the preparedness of these attackers. All militants were heavily armed and they came in army uniforms. This incident again highlights that there is a big failure on the groun
