India Finally in Asia Cup 08 Final

Finally, India reached in the final of Asia cup 08 by beating Sri Lanka by 6 wickets in one of the super four clashes between India and Sri Lanka today. Now, Pakistan’s hopes of entering final of Asia cup have scattered completely. Though, still one match is left with Pakistan but it will not help its team much.

Today, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first and posted a total of 308/8 on board in 50 overs. Half centuries from Jayawardene, Kapugedera and Silva scoring 50, 75 and 50 runs respectively help Sri Lanka in posing this total. Jayasuriya also scored fast 43 while opening the inning. India bowlers remained average in bowling and failed in stopping Sri Lanka from making a big total.

In reply, three Indian players also scored half centuries. Gambhir, Dhoni and Raina scored 68, 67 and 54 respectively. Sehwag, Yuvraj and Rohit also added fast 42, 36 and 22 runs. The main attraction of India inning remained the good contribution from all batsmen. This win in super four matches against Sri Lanka will definitely increase moral of Indian team against Sri Lanka in final of Asia cup.
